Military contractors in Michigan could see $200 million or more of new business over the next five years from awards and production orders through the U.S. Department of Defense in the past several days. Sterling Heights-based General Dynamics Land Systems will receive $92.1 million to furnish 45 system enhancement packages for the Abrams M1A2 battle tank within the next two years under a new contract awarded through Army Contracting Command at the U.S. Army Tacom Life Cycle Management Command in Warren.
